Pictures like this, taken from my kayak in Lake Tahoe, stimulated me to develop my Xtra-Dimensions approach – I wanted to portray the fluidity, movement and reflections that are part of the visual experience on the water. I’ve used two styles in this effort, most recently with four layers of asymmetric oval components. These mimic the water surface and balance the randomness of the light patterns that play like electricity along the lake bottom.

An alternative presentation uses facetted components, again with four layers, arranged in a curved matrix pattern that emphasizes the fluidity of the reflective water surface.
