Sunlight Cypress

photograph by Paul Kozal

This image of sunlight filtering through a grove of majestic cypress trees in Sea Ranch along California’s north coast contrasts the transient and the long-lasting, while the lean of the trees and the direction of the light rays give movement to the image.  The individual components of the piece mimic this movement, starting vertical but leaning toward the left and ending at an uneven border.

Sunlight Cypress (24″ x 36″)

Sunlight filtering through a grove of cypress trees, creating a contrast between light and shadow, with a sense of movement as the trees lean to the left.
An artistic photograph showing a grove of cypress trees with sunlight filtering through, displayed in a fragmented style that emphasizes movement and light.
A vibrant and intricate collage made from repurposed packaging, featuring a mix of colors and designs, creating a textured pattern with various labels and elements woven together.
